Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Welcome to Egypt, traveler! You'll land in Cairo, the bustling capital city of Egypt, where you'll be met by your friendly guide who will take you to your hotel. Take some time to settle in, and maybe explore the area around your hotel if you have the energy.
Day 2: Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum
No trip to Egypt would be complete without a visit to the famous Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World! We'll head out early in the morning to explore the pyramids and the nearby Sphinx. In the afternoon, we'll head to the Egyptian Museum, where you can feast your eyes on a dazzling array of ancient treasures, including the priceless artifacts from the tomb of King Tutankhamun.
Day 3: Luxor and the Nile River
After breakfast, we'll fly to Luxor, where we'll check in to our cruise ship and get settled in our cabins. Get ready for an amazing adventure on the Nile River! We'll explore the city of Luxor, including the impressive Temple of Karnak and the ancient city of Thebes. In the evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner on the ship.
Day 4: Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut
Today, we'll head out early to explore the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were buried for centuries. You'll get to see the intricate and colorful tombs of some of Egypt's most famous rulers. We'll also visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, a stunning and unique monument built by one of Egypt's only female pharaohs. Later in the day, we'll sail to Edfu and enjoy dinner on the ship.
Day 5: Edfu and Kom Ombo
Wake up to the sound of the Nile River and enjoy breakfast on board. Then we'll visit the Temple of Edfu, a well-preserved and beautiful temple dedicated to the god Horus. In the afternoon, we'll sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, which is dedicated to two gods: Sobek and Horus. Later in the day, we'll sail to Aswan and enjoy another delicious dinner on board.
Day 6: Aswan and Philae Temple
Today, we'll explore Aswan, a beautiful city on the banks of the Nile. We'll visit the Philae Temple, which was moved from its original location on an island to higher ground after the construction of the Aswan High Dam. We'll also visit the Unfinished Obelisk, a massive stone structure that was never completed. In the evening, we'll enjoy a traditional Nubian dinner and a performance of Nubian music and dance.
Day 7: Departure from Aswan
After breakfast on board, it's time to say goodbye to our Nile cruise and head back to Cairo. Your guide will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight, or if you have a later flight, you can do some last-minute souvenir shopping or explore the city on your own.
